Rendering

The work Rendering is based on the large skylight in the gallery space and operates in two ways. Its form is a partial representation of the windows grid, with the window-panes replaced by mirrors. The eyes of the viewer are therefore drawn to the skylight above, gesturing towards its connection to the outside cityscape. Simultaneously, this piece reflects the outdoor light thereby drawing attention to this inherent structural detail, on which the gallery space is dependent for the flow of natural daylight.
